Methodology and ranking parameters
Facturfit answers three questions: am I affected and from when, what must I change, and which software fits. This is how we work.
Deadlines and rules
Every rule comes from an official source (law, regulation, tax authority guidance) and carries its source and the date we checked it. If a date is not yet fixed by law, we show it as open and never guess. Where an answer is unclear (for example unknown turnover), we show the earlier, safer date.
How software is ranked
First we filter: a tool must be offered in the country and be proven to support the format required there (Germany: XRechnung or ZUGFeRD; France: approved platform; Spain: declared VeriFactu compliance). If a fact is not verified, the tool stays in the list, labelled 'not verified'.
Then we score tools on these main parameters and weights:
- Supports the required e-invoice format: +2
- Dedicated software rather than a business account, when you are not looking for one: +1
- Exports to DATEV, which your adviser uses: +3
- Includes a business bank account: +3
- Includes VAT returns or tax filing: +2
- Works for several users: +2
- Includes customer management: +1
- Has a free plan, enough for low volumes: +2
- Fits your monthly budget: +2
- Above your budget: -3
- Type of tool fits your invoice volume: +1
- Several users at high invoice volumes: +1
- Full accounting your adviser can work with: +1
On a tie, the tool with the cheaper paid plan comes first, then alphabetical order.
Commissions do not affect the ranking. This is enforced in code: the ranking function receives no affiliate program data at all, and an automated test fails if the order would change when commissions change.
Recommendations by advisers
On partner pages, a firm can recommend up to three tools. These appear separately and are labelled, above our neutral ranking.
Where product data comes from
All product facts come from the vendors' own websites, each with the date we checked it. Facts older than 90 days are flagged.
